MAINTAINING WHAT MATTERS MOST

Everything we do at Waconia Public Schools, ISD 110, is focused on creating opportunities for students to explore their passions and create their success. With dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and a community that values quality education, we are able to provide authentic learning experiences for all students.

Today, the district faces serious financial challenges that could negatively impact the quality of an ISD 110 education. In order to preserve current class sizes, sustain the high-quality educational programs our community values, and continue attracting and retaining outstanding teachers and staff, additional long-term funding is essential.

To maintain what matters most, school leaders are asking residents to consider an operating levy referendum - a levy for learning - in the November 4 General Election.

The request is clear… $27/month for the

owner of a $450,000 home in District 110.

School board members and district administration have been working tirelessly to address budget shortfalls caused by a variety of factors. They have engaged the community at regular intervals to understand what is most important to residents of District 110. This plan is a fiscally-responsible approach to maintaining what matters most - prioritizing people, preserving programs, and protecting class sizes.

How did we get here?
